According to the NY Times, violent tornado roared through town in the heart of Raleigh and North Carolina on Saturday afternoon and evening, state officials said Sunday. The storm also seriously injured another 130 people and leveled or damaged hundreds of homes, destroyed a big-box store and trailer park, picking trees from the earth, and causing more than 84,000 people without electricity.
