PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to provide free WiFi internet service in a special train executives for this year's Lebaran. WiFi service in each carriage is provided by the mobile operator XL Axiata.
Commercial Director of PT KAI, Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjinto say, as a step test, WiFi internet service will be paired on the train Argo Bromo Anggrek New Image which will begin operating and enjoyed by customers starting next August.
"This is a breakthrough for rail customers can enjoy the Internet service without a break along the way," said the man who was familiarly called Wimbo it, this weekend on the sidelines XL Net Rally, at Gambir Station, Jakarta.
President Director of XL Hasnul Suhaimi added that the installation of WiFi network in the train as a form of XL's commitment in providing fast Internet network access during the trip.

In addition to providing WiFi, XL also increases the cellular infrastructure along the train going home. XL will also put the Public Telephone Free (TUG) in some stations like Gambir, Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta.
